Tehran Animation fest receives submissions from 85 countries

More than 1,000 animated films from across the world have been submitted to the 12th edition of the Tehran International Animation Festival (TIAF) in Iran.

Some 1,043 foreign animated films were submitted to the TIAF to take part in the festival’s International Competition section.

The submitted films are from 85 countries, including Japan, China, France, Austria, Germany, Norway, Sweden, Italy, the Netherlands, India, Brazil, Mexico, South Korea, Spain, Lebanon, Switzerland, and Poland.

Meanwhile, 459 Iranian animations were submitted to participate in the TIAF’s Iran Competition section.

The TIAF is a biennial event organized by Iran’s Institute for the Intellectual Development of Children and Young Adults.

The event also includes sections such as Out of Competition, Special Screening, and Panorama.

The upcoming edition of the TIAf will take place on February 28-March 4, 2021.
